Ol’ Bill Pote of Dayton Most Metro just started up a Dayton forum. It’s in the same format as Urban Ohio so it’ll be familiar to many of you. I set up a little pole over there for people to vote on their favorite finer dining spot. I know, I know, it’s crappy that you have to sign up to take it but once you do you’ll never have to log in again. Good luck with the forum, Bill—I’ll keep coming back and doing my bit to contribute.

Hey Phillip - thanks for the plug here. Yeah, I’ve been very hesitant to start a forum - it seems like it’s been done to death. But since we’ll be using this as an official communication tool for the Creative Region Initiative I figured now would be a good time to get it started.
UrbanOhio.com was certainly an inspiration, and I certainly don’t mean to duplicate what they have going on there (which is WAY more than I could hope to accomplish), but with a Dayton Region focus I think we can get more local people involved in the conversation on how to better our city and our region.
I’ll keep the blog going (though I might combine them all into one), but most of my efforts will now be going into this forum - because once we have enough people talking, it will take on a life of its own and won’t rely on just me or a few of us to keep it alive. And that was my intention all along…
